A common dissociation technique is crushing and grinding. After precious metal waste is crushed and ground, the target metals encapsulated within can be dissociated and released. Generally speaking, the finer the crushing and grinding, the better the subsequent leaching and dissolution effects. However, finer grinding increases operational costs, so the degree of crushing and grinding needs to be determined based on the physical composition of the precious metal waste.
